Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and disclose information when you visit or use our website (“Website”). Your privacy is important to us, and we are committed to protecting and respecting your personal information. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully to understand our practices regarding your personal data.
Information We Collect
Personal Information: We may collect certain personal information, such as your name, email address, and contact details when you voluntarily provide them to us through the Website.
Usage information: our website host records basic technical information, such as your IP address and browser type, to keep the website running and secure. Information about the pages you view and how long you stay is linked to your device only if you allow statistics cookies. Until you choose, and if you say no, Google receives nothing from our pages. Our website also keeps its own count of visits and enquiries without cookies and without any personal data, as our cookie policy explains; you can opt out of it there.
Use of Information
We use the collected information to:
Provide and improve the Website’s functionality, services, and user experience.
Respond to your inquiries and fulfill your requests.
Send you important information, updates, and announcements related to the Website.
Communicate with you and provide customer support.
Personalise your experience on the Website.
Protect the security and integrity of the Website.
Comply with legal obligations and enforce our rights.
We may combine the information collected from different sources for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
Sharing of Information
We may share your personal information with third parties in the following cases:
With service providers or partners who assist us in operating the Website and delivering services to you.
In response to a legal request or when required to comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, or government requests.
To protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or others.
With your consent or at your direction.
With advertising partners such as Google, only if you answer Yes to the advertising question on our enquiry form (see Advertising measurement, news and offers below).
We may also share aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably identify you with third parties for various purposes, such as marketing, advertising, and analytics.
Advertising measurement, news and offers
Our enquiry form asks one question about advertising, and nothing is chosen for you: “May we share your contact details with Google, in coded form, to see which adverts lead to projects?” You answer Yes or No, and your enquiry is handled in exactly the same way either way.
Advertising measurement: if you answer Yes, we may share your email address and phone number with Google in a securely encoded form (it is converted into a code that cannot be turned back into your details), together with the reference Google adds to an advert link when you click it. We may also tell Google when your enquiry later becomes a site visit, a quotation or a signed contract. Google matches this with its own records and reports only totals to us. This shows us which adverts lead to real projects and helps our adverts reach people who are likely to be interested. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by emailing info@brxlondon.co.uk, and we will stop from that point. If you answer No, we do not share your details with Google for advertising.
News and offers: because you have asked us about a project, we may email you occasional news and offers about BRX’s own building services, unless you tick the box on the form saying you would rather not, or tell us later. We do not share your details with Google for this, and every such email includes a simple way to unsubscribe. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in keeping people who have asked about our work informed about similar services, and you can object at any time.
Earlier versions of our form asked for these choices with tick boxes. If you made a choice there, it continues to apply until you tell us otherwise.
If you accept marketing cookies, our website also remembers the advert reference you arrived with for up to 90 days, so that an enquiry you send later can be linked to that advert. You can read how Google uses this information at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
Enquiries and quotations
When you send an enquiry, we use your details to reply, arrange a call or site visit and prepare a quotation. Any quotation is prepared after a site visit and is subject to final drawings, so that the scope and price reflect your actual property and design.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use essential cookies to run the website and, only if you allow them, statistics and marketing cookies from Google. Google’s tags load on our pages only after you allow statistics or marketing cookies, so if you reject optional cookies Google receives nothing from them. Our cookie policy lists each cookie, who sets it, why and for how long. You can change your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.
Phone calls
If you arrive from one of our Google adverts and allow marketing cookies, the tap-to-call links on our website may connect through a Google forwarding number, so that we can see which adverts lead to calls. The number written on the page is always our own. For a call made this way, Google receives the time and length of the call and the caller’s phone number, and reports the call to us as coming from an advert. This only happens if you have allowed marketing cookies, and our lawful basis is that consent. If you call us by typing our number, 020 3376 1286, the call comes straight to us.
Calls to and from our phone line may be recorded by our telephone provider, bOnline, whose software also transcribes each call and writes a short summary of it. We use these to keep an accurate note of what you asked for, so that we can follow up properly, and we may add the summary to our record of your enquiry. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in keeping accurate records of enquiries and of the work we discuss with you. bOnline keeps recordings, transcripts and summaries for up to 12 months and then deletes them; a summary we add to your enquiry record is kept with that record. You can ask for a copy of a recording or transcript of your call, or ask us to delete it, by emailing info@brxlondon.co.uk.
Instagram messages
If you send a direct message to our Instagram account, @brxlondon, we receive your Instagram username, your message and anything you attach to it. Our own tool, BRX Lead Reader, reads new messages twice a day through Meta’s service for Instagram business accounts and copies each one into our email and our record of enquiries, so that every enquiry is answered and followed up. It only reads: it never sends, posts or deletes anything on Instagram, and we reply to you in Instagram ourselves. Our email runs on Google Workspace, and our record of enquiries is kept using Claude, an AI assistant from Anthropic, which sorts each new message into it for us. Google and Anthropic are based in the United States, so your message may be processed outside the UK. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries and keeping accurate records of them and, where you ask us for a quotation, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. You can object to this at any time by emailing info@brxlondon.co.uk. We do not use your messages for advertising, and they are never passed to Google or any other advertising partner for advertising. We keep them for as long as the rest of your enquiry record (see Data Retention). Meta’s own privacy policy applies to your use of Instagram.
To have the copies of your Instagram messages deleted from our records, email info@brxlondon.co.uk with your Instagram username. We will delete them within one month and confirm when it is done. This does not delete the conversation in Instagram itself, which you can do in the Instagram app.
If you sign in to BRX Lead Reader’s own web page with an Instagram account (Meta’s reviewers do this to check the tool), the page shows that account’s latest messages on screen once and keeps nothing: no message, no username and no access.
Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no security measure is completely fool proof, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.
Your Rights
You have certain rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, rectify, and erase your data. You may also have the right to restrict or object to certain processing activities and the right to data portability. To use any of these rights, email info@brxlondon.co.uk and we will reply within one month.
Children’s Privacy
The Website is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 16 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child, please contact us using the details under “Who we are and how to contact us” below, and we will take appropriate measures to remove the information from our records.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated Privacy Policy on the Website with a new effective date. This policy was last updated on 22 October 2026.
Your choices
Browsing this website does not mean you agree to optional cookies or to marketing. Optional cookies are used only if you choose them in our cookie banner, and the advertising question on our enquiry form has no answer chosen for you. You can withdraw any of these choices at any time: use “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page, or email info@brxlondon.co.uk.
