Cookie Policy

This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies on brxlondon.co.uk: what each one does, who sets it, how long it lasts, and how you can change your choice at any time.

Your choice

When you first visit, we ask whether you are happy for us to use optional cookies. No optional cookies are set until you choose.

  • Accept all allows statistics and marketing cookies.
  • Reject optional keeps only the essential cookies the website needs.
  • Customise lets you choose statistics and marketing separately.

You can change your choice at any time with the switches below or with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page. We keep your choice for 12 months and then ask again, and we ask again sooner if we add a new kind of cookie.

Essential cookies (always on)

These keep the website working and remember your cookie choice. They are not used to track you.

  • cmplz_banner-status, cmplz_consented_services, cmplz_policy_id, cmplz_functional, cmplz_statistics, cmplz_marketing, cmplz_preferences: set by BRX (Complianz). Remember your cookie choice. 12 months.
  • wp_consent_functional, wp_consent_statistics, wp_consent_statistics-anonymous, wp_consent_marketing, wp_consent_preferences: set by BRX (WP Consent API). Pass your choice on to the parts of the website that need it. 12 months.

Statistics cookies (optional)

Used only if you allow statistics. We use the figures to see which pages help people and where the website could be clearer.

  • _ga: Google Analytics, set for BRX. Tells visits apart so they can be counted. 2 years.
  • _ga_ZYD5YFVTRR: Google Analytics. Keeps track of the current visit. 2 years.

Marketing cookies (optional)

Used only if you allow marketing.

  • _gcl_au: Google Ads, set for BRX. Links visits and enquiries to our adverts. 90 days.
  • _gcl_aw, _gcl_gb and similar _gcl_ entries: Google Ads. Keep the reference Google adds to an advert link when you click it. 90 days.
  • gwcc: Google Ads. If you came from one of our adverts, may remember the call number used for our tap-to-call links (see “Phone calls” below). Up to 90 days.
  • brx_touch (kept in your browser’s storage) and brx_click_id: set by BRX. Keep the advert reference, the page you first arrived on and the campaign details for 90 days, so that an enquiry you send later can be linked to the advert. Both are deleted as soon as you withdraw marketing consent.
  • Cookies on Google’s own domains, for example IDE on doubleclick.net and GCL_AW_P on googleadservices.com: set by Google to measure adverts, to link an enquiry or call to the advert that was clicked, and to show you BRX adverts on other websites. Google decides how long these last, usually between 90 days and 13 months.

What Google receives before you choose or if you reject optional cookies

Nothing. Google’s tags do not load on our pages until you allow statistics or marketing cookies: statistics loads Google Analytics and marketing loads Google Ads. Before you choose, and if you reject optional cookies, our pages send Google nothing. When you came from one of our adverts, we keep the advert reference in the links you follow on our website, without storing anything on your device, so that an enquiry you send can be linked to that advert in our own records and, if you answer Yes to the advertising question on our enquiry form, reported to Google.

Website statistics without cookies

Our website keeps its own simple count so that we can see which pages help people and which kinds of visit lead to enquiries. It counts, per day and in total only: visits arriving from adverts, search engines, social media, Houzz, other websites or directly; the pages viewed; how many people start and send the enquiry form, tap a phone number or book a consultation; and how quickly pages load. It sets no cookies, keeps no IP address or identifier, cannot recognise you or follow you to other websites, and nothing is shared with anyone. So that the pages of one visit are counted together, your browser keeps a short note of where the visit came from (brx_entry, for example “search”) in its session storage, which is deleted when you close the tab. We do not count visits from browsers that send a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal. If you would rather not be counted at all, use the link below; your browser then keeps a note (brx_stats_off) so that we respect your choice.

Counting choices on the cookie banner

We count, in total and per day, how many visitors see the cookie banner and which button they choose, so that we can check the banner is clear. The count stores nothing on your device and keeps no identifier and no IP address.

Phone calls

If you arrive from one of our Google adverts and allow marketing cookies, the tap-to-call links on our pages may connect through a Google forwarding number, so that we can see which adverts lead to calls. The number written on the page is always our own number, 020 3376 1286. When a call goes through a forwarding number, Google receives the time and length of the call and the caller’s phone number, and reports the call to us as coming from an advert. Our privacy policy explains more.

Other services on our pages

  • Adobe Fonts supplies the typeface. Your browser fetches the fonts from Adobe, which receives your IP address to deliver them. Adobe Fonts does not set cookies.
  • Calendly runs the “Book a consultation” calendar. Nothing from Calendly loads on our pages until you click that button; the click loads its script and opens the calendar. When it loads, Calendly’s security service (Cloudflare) may set a cookie called __cf_bm on calendly.com, which tells people apart from automated traffic and lasts 30 minutes, and inside the calendar Calendly’s own cookies and privacy policy apply.
  • Instagram, Houzz, Facebook and LinkedIn appear as plain links. Nothing from them loads until you click.

How to change or withdraw your choice

  • Use “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page, or the switches near the top of this page.
  • Delete cookies in your browser’s settings. We will ask again on your next visit.
  • Manage Google advertising in My Ad Center, and read how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Withdrawing consent stops optional cookies from that moment. It does not undo measurement already made.
